About KVN Billing

KVN Billing is GST billing and accounting software for Indian small businesses, made by KVN Groups in Tamil Nadu. It runs on Android, keeps your books on your own phone, and works with no internet connection at all. One company, every feature, Rs. 499 a year plus GST.

What KVN Billing is

It is a billing app, but the invoice is only the part you see. Behind it sits a real double-entry ledger, a stock register and the GST returns built from the same entries — so the books your accountant gets are the books you kept, not a second set retyped at the end of the month.

It prints A4, A5 and 4-inch thermal, prints nine document formats each drawn for what it is, files e-way bills and e-invoices from inside the app, and answers questions about your own figures in plain English or Tamil. It does all of that on the phone in your hand, with the shop shut and the signal gone.

KVN Billing is published by KVN Groups. The app is on Google Play as KVN Billing under the package name com.kvn.billing, and this site is its home — kvnbilling.com.

Where the data lives
On your phone. Cloud backups are encrypted before they leave it, so the server holds a file it cannot read.

Why it exists

Because the bill cannot wait for the network

Most billing software is a website that happens to fit on a phone. When the signal drops — in a godown, in a market, in a shop with one bar — the save button spins and the customer stands there with cash in hand.

KVN Billing was built the other way round. The database is on the device. The invoice number comes from your own series, kept locally, so it never skips and never repeats. GST splits itself, stock moves and the ledger posts while the customer is still at the counter. The cloud is where a copy goes afterwards, not where the work happens.

That one decision decides the rest: no per-invoice fee, because there is no server cost per bill; no reason to hold your returns back for a higher plan, because the returns are computed on the phone; and no reason to read your books, because they are not on our server in a form we can read.

What it does not do

The honest list

A page like this is worth more when it says what is missing. Today, KVN Billing does not:

Run on iPhone. It is an Android app, and that is where it started.
File your returns for you. It builds the GSTR-1 workbook and the 3B summary, and you upload them — the filing decision stays yours.
Open in a browser yet. Web access with real-time sync is on the roadmap, not in the product.
Send payment links yet. One-tap reminders do exist; UPI payment links are in progress.
Sell you a free tier. There is one price, and no advertising inside the app.
